The relief that some people can find through artistic expression in bringing people together and find a common bond helps… Especially with our youth. Sandy preaches to the choir around all of us being members of the human family and at the same time having to stand strong so that our values around equality, freedom, and against discrimination and bias prevail. Dr. Marissa continues to splatter hope and happiness trying to encourage people not to marinade in sadness or anger as it is not helpful to their Cellular functioning … and for the sake of our health find a way to have compassion even for the new president balanced by standing firm in what is good. As Cara quotes Dr. Martin Luther King: Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. Listeners are encouraged to join organizations who are working against racism and violence against women, and transmute their energy to focus on a common vision, which is to make this country about peace and prosperity. Both guests are awarded Dr. Marissa’s Beneficial Presence on the Planet Award for their work in creating more love and more peace in the world.
